Polyurethane-polyamide (PUPA) coil coating.
PUPA stands for polyurethane-polyamide. It has a polyurethane base with a polyamide component, which gives a tough, abrasion- and mar-resistant film with good flexibility. The coating systems page suits it to high-wear uses such as rolling shutters, and lists it as the typical choice for high-wear and cycling service. It is also the base for several functional variants. PUPA is the coating in Orbit's confirmed recycled-content example of roughly 75 percent on a 3105 substrate, and recycled content is confirmed per order. Exact performance and warranty are confirmed per specification and exposure. Orbit offers seven coating systems: PE, HDPE, PVDF, PUPA, Epoxy-PE, Acrylic and PU, in any RAL or custom color.
