Alloy 3xxx · PUPA / PVDF
Aluminum coil for rolling shutters — bends without cracking.
Coated aluminum coil for rolling shutter slats, in durable coating systems and any RAL color, for repeated cycling and outdoor exposure.
- Alloy 3xxx
- PUPA / PVDF
- Up to 1350 mm coated
- RAL or custom color
Application
Coating for the roll-former.
Shutter slats are roll-formed into tight profiles after coating, so the paint film has to flex without crazing.
Thermal-insulating coating variants can reduce slat surface temperature. Functional coatings.

Outdoor color retention.
We match your reference and supply coil slit to the widths your slat line runs.

Designing for daily cycling
Shutter slats are roll-formed and then cycled daily for years, so the coil must form cleanly into the slat profile, hold color under constant UV, and resist abrasion where slats meet and where the curtain rolls. Aluminum's light weight eases operation and reduces load on motors and springs. The coating must pass flexibility (T-bend) and abrasion testing to survive forming and cycling.
In hot climates, a thermal-insulating topcoat lowers slat surface temperature.
Quality & compliance
Testing and documentation.
Certified production
Production is certified to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety).
Tests that matter here
Coated coil is checked on a panel of tests including T-bend flexibility, abrasion resistance, adhesion and UV / accelerated weathering. See quality & certifications for how this is documented.
Documentation with the batch
Material certificates accompany every batch; ASTM and EN references are available on request.
Rolling shutter questions.
What aluminum is used for rolling shutters?
Rolling shutter slats are roll-formed from coated aluminum coil, finished in durable systems like PUPA or PVDF and matched to any RAL color.
Can shutter coil reduce heat?
Yes. A thermal-insulating functional coating can lower slat surface temperature in direct sun; ask for it by name in your RFQ.
What's the minimum order?
The minimum order is typically 6 MT per color, confirmed in your RFQ.
What thickness is typical for rolling shutters?
Orbit rolls from 0.20 to 2.00 mm; the exact shutter gauge is confirmed per order.
Mill-finish or prepainted?
Both are available: prepainted in the coatings above, or mill-finish where you paint or anodize on site.
What to send with your RFQ.
Include these and we can return a coil specification and quote without back-and-forth.
- Application and substrate (aluminum or steel)
- Alloy and temper, if known
- Gauge and coil width
- Coating system and color (a RAL number or a sample)
- Quantity and destination port
Our technical office reviews every RFQ and replies with a specification and quote. We respond to RFQs within one business day.
Specifying coil for a shutter line?
Send your slat gauge, width and color, we will quote the right coating. Include your application, substrate (aluminum or steel), alloy, gauge, width, coating, color, quantity and destination. We respond to RFQs within one business day.
