- Slitting divides a wide master coil into precise narrower strips; accurate slit width and clean, burr-free edges are essential for downstream roll-forming and stamping.
- Cut-to-length converts coil into flat sheets at a set length, with leveling to control flatness.
- Edge trimming squares and cleans coil edges, important for forming and for safe handling.
- Leveling removes coil set and shape defects so the strip lies flat, critical for ACP lamination, signage and any visible flat application.
- Lubrication and protective film guard the surface through forming and transit.
These run in-house alongside rolling and coating. Exact slit-width and length tolerances are confirmed per order; share your line requirements in an RFQ.

What coil can Orbit process?
Orbit processes 1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx coil from 0.20 to 2.00 mm thick and up to 1650 mm wide, with coil inner diameter 406 to 508 mm and weights up to 10 tonnes.
Do you offer edge trimming and leveling?
Yes. Edge trimming squares and cleans the coil edges, and leveling removes coil set so the strip lies flat for forming, coating or visible flat applications.

Tested to standard
Coil is checked against ASTM or EN references by market, on tests such as salt spray, UV, T-bend, adhesion, gloss retention and color difference (delta E) for coated products.
