Temper (aluminum alloy temper designation).

Temper describes the condition an alloy was left in after rolling. An alloy number gives the chemistry, and temper sets where the coil sits within what that chemistry can do in strength and formability. O is annealed: softer and more formable than the H tempers, with lower strength. H-series tempers are strain hardened, with strength built in through cold work. F is as-fabricated, with no special control over the process. Heat-treatable alloys carry a separate T-series, such as T6, while Orbit's rolling program is non-heat-treatable. A complete coil line item states alloy, temper, gauge, width and coating system together. Orbit's rolled aluminum coil is 0.20 to 2.00 mm thick and up to 1650 mm wide, in 1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx alloys, and temper is available on request.
