Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) coil coating.
PVDF stands for polyvinylidene fluoride, a fluoropolymer coil coating. Its performance comes from the carbon-fluorine bond, one of the strongest in organic chemistry, which resists the UV energy that breaks down other coatings. The coating systems page describes color and gloss retention with minimal chalking over decades, and positions PVDF for facades, cladding, architectural roofing and coastal exposure. Typical industry exterior life is often cited at 20 to 30 years. Orbit's warranty is 5 to 20 years, depending on the application and the environment. Exact performance and warranty are confirmed per specification and exposure. Orbit offers seven coating systems: PE, HDPE, PVDF, PUPA, Epoxy-PE, Acrylic and PU, in any RAL or custom color.
